Re-masting & Moving Forklift Trucks
One of our main motivations in offering lifting services again was to meet the needs of our customers who supply VNA (very narrow aisle) turret trucks.
In most cases, these are too tall to transport upright so they have to be dismantled, loaded, transported, unloaded and reassembled at the delivery point. Sometimes this happens inside a warehouse.
To streamline this process, we offer a service where one vehicle can complete this entire task. This alleviates the need for hired in cranes at the collection and delivery points, which is more economical for the customer and avoids delays. Our ALLMI qualified operators take responsibility for the task from beginning to end.
As with a lot of the work we do this takes careful planning, particularly to account for offloading inside warehouses – we typically need between 12-15m clearance inside a building to install tall masts. Outside though, the sky is the limit!
We’ve managed some sizeable projects for customers such as Crown Lift Trucks, transporting and installing 14 trucks over one weekend. For this we sent five vehicles in total, two crane vehicles and three machine carriers. By working together, they kept a constant stream of vehicles moving between the two sites and completed the project safely and efficiently.
